Violent Intruder Response / AL.i.C.E.

Violent Intruders at Schools, Workplaces, Hospitals, Churches or… Anywhere.
We have seen Violent Intruders attack public and private institutions of all types. Large gathering places can lead to incredible casualty numbers due to the target rich environment they provide, and a lack of reality-based preparedness of the potential targets. Because active shooter situations are often over in under 10 minutes, and often before law enforcement arrives on the scene, citizens must be prepared both mentally and physically to deal with this man-made disaster event.

Why Does Your Organization Need Violent Intruder Defense Training?
Plain and Simple: To Save Lives! The critical gap in time between when the shooter first pulls the trigger and when law enforcement arrives is where we focus the majority of our training. The action taken by citizens under attack during these critical first minutes can mitigate the number of lives lost. People in the crisis zone have only minutes or even just seconds to decide what they have to do to survive until law enforcement can arrive. Remember, the majority of casualties from Active Shooter events happen within the first few minutes.

What Is Wrong With “Lockdown”?
Nothing. “Lockdown” or “securing in place” is an effective tool when used in an effective way and at the appropriate time and setting. In fact, the “L” in our acronym stands for Lockdown. We enhance the basic “Lockdown” strategy with our A.L.i.C.E. program.

The Time To Move Beyond a Lockdown-Only Mandate Is Now!
A one-size fits all response strategy to a violent situation is simply inadequate. Optional responses, based on the circumstances at hand, are key to improving survival rates and mitigating casualty rates.

“In a moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing. The next best thing is the wrong thing. The worst thing you can do is nothing.” Theodore Roosevelt

A.L.i.C.E.
The A.L.i.C.E. program is designed with age-appropriate instruction for kindergarten through 12th grade students, including special needs students. They will learn simple yet effective strategies in target hardening and survival options to increase survivability should the unthinkable occur. Our training is designed for delivery by both local law enforcement personnel and school district employees.
